BIOGRAPHY

Music you have to experience yourself. Enjoy and listen to the sound of sensitive, cinematic, relaxing and imaginative music. Very suitable for meditation, healing and yoga, but also as a soundtrack for inspiring moving film and theatre productions. Music in a pure linear flow.

As a professional producer, sound designer and improviser Marc van Mourik creates music for many different types of music- and film productions. As an improvisation pianist he guides many moving, hilarious and exciting scenes for theater companies in The Netherlands.

As a little boy, Marc discovered that the steps of the attic stairs each produced their own tone and that he could play children's songs on it. From then he was always fascinated by the art of free improvisation. First on (church)organ, then the piano, synthesizers, bass guitar, accordeon and various flutes.

After graduating as mechanical designer in 1997, Marc studied music production at the Utrecht School Of Arts (HKU) and Sound Education Netherlands (cum laude, 2023). 

Over the years, his musical sources of inspiration range from Mike Oldfield, Bach, Keith Jarrett, Stravinski, Max Richter, Vangelis to the pure music of Olafur Arnalds, Hania Rani and Deuter.

Nowadays Marc regularly produces and releases new music from his label “Soundtracks To Relax”. Through his conscious connection with the Universe he has access to an infinite music library from which he can always stream new music. He also loves giving personal sound massages and performing concerts. 

With his music and together with beautiful co-creators he wants to bring more light, love and togetherness into the world.

When he released his single “Cycle Of The Sun” in 2011, it was the beginning of Marc’s presence on Spotify and other streaming services. His playlist now contains more than 25 singles and albums that have been streamed millions if times worldwide.
